## What the role is about

Six months on the team that builds the agents. You take a real piece of the agent stack, with an AI Engineer next to you, and you ship it. Not a side project kept away from production: interns here work on the agents that run on customer catalogs, starting where a mistake is cheap to undo.

The internship is designed to end in an offer if the work says so, and you will hear where you stand at every step rather than at the end.

## What you would do

- Write and test prompts against real catalog data, and measure the output instead of eyeballing it.
- Extend an agent workflow: a new step, a new tool, a new source of product data.
- Write the evaluation cases that tell us whether an agent got better or worse.
- Dig into failures. Read the traces, find the pattern, propose the fix.
- Take one improvement all the way to production, reviewed, inside the first two months.

## Who you are

### Essential

- You write Python on your own, without a tutorial open next to you.
- You have built something with an LLM API, however small, and you can explain why it broke.
- You are finishing or have just finished a degree in computer science, engineering, maths, physics or something equally quantitative. We read applications from people who taught themselves too.
- You ask early when you are stuck, rather than losing two days to pride.
- Fluent English, written and spoken.
- In Milan, or moving there. Three days a week in the office, like everyone else.

### Preferred

- Some exposure to retrieval pipelines, agent frameworks or evals.
- A repository, a write-up or a project we can look at.
- Italian, for the customer data you would be reading.
