## What the role is about

You build and ship the agents that run product data infrastructure for enterprise retailers across Europe. These are not prototypes. They are production systems handling thousands of catalog operations a day, where reliability, cost and accuracy land on somebody’s revenue.

You own agents end to end: prompt design, orchestration, evaluation, deployment, monitoring and the iteration after that. You work with the other engineers, the CPO and the customer-facing teams to ship agents that hold up in messy real conditions.

## What you would do

- Design, build and ship production-grade agents across catalog enrichment, classification, assortment and publishing.
- Own the full lifecycle, from the first prompt to a deployed system with evaluation running against it.
- Build the orchestration, the retrieval pipelines and the evaluation frameworks that keep agents reliable at scale.
- Integrate Anthropic, OpenAI and other foundation models, and make the calls on model, cost and latency.
- Optimize token usage, caching and observability across the agent stack.
- Turn a messy customer problem into an agent that solves it, with the Agent Product Managers and the delivery team.
- Feed what production teaches you back into the platform roadmap.
- Raise the bar for how agents are built, tested and operated here.

## Who you are

### Essential

- Three or more years shipping production systems, with hands-on LLM work in the last twelve months.
- You have put an LLM API into a real product: Anthropic, OpenAI or similar.
- Strong prompt engineering with systematic evaluation behind it. You do not ship on vibes.
- Comfortable building and running retrieval pipelines, agent orchestration and vector search.
- Solid Python, and fluent in the tooling that exists this year.
- A real grasp of the tradeoffs: cost, latency, quality, failure modes.
- Comfortable with ambiguity, fast iteration and incomplete information.
- Clear thinker, low ego, high standards, open to feedback.
- Fluent English, and strong writing.
- Genuine curiosity about where this is going next.

### Preferred

- You have built or led an agent product in production.
- Eval frameworks, LLM observability, ML monitoring.
- B2B SaaS, or an AI-native company.
- Traditional ML and NLP as well: transformers, scikit-learn.
- Orchestration frameworks: LangChain, LlamaIndex or similar.
- Ecommerce, retail or catalog data.
- Open source contributions, or technical writing on agents.
