CommerceClarity and FactFinder partner on the product data behind product discovery
FactFinder customers can now have the catalog behind their product discovery completed and normalized by CommerceClarity, without changing their discovery platform or PIM.

CommerceClarity, the AI agent platform for catalog operations, and FactFinder, the AI-powered product discovery platform used across European B2B and complex retail, today announce a partnership focused on the product data behind discovery.
CommerceClarity enriches and normalizes the product attributes that FactFinder indexes, helping retailers make more of their catalog discoverable across search, navigation, personalization, recommendations and merchandising.
A discovery platform can only work with the data it receives
A product discovery platform indexes the product data it receives from a retailer’s PIM, ecommerce platform or other product feed, and uses those attributes to match shoppers with the products they are looking for.
When an attribute is missing, the product may not appear in the results at all.
If the catalog says a product is “Bordeaux” but the shopper searches for “red”, for example, the product may never make it into the result set. The shopper sees zero results, or a set of less relevant products, and the problem looks like a search issue.
Often, it starts one step earlier: with the product data.
Search is the clearest example, but the same principle applies to personalization, recommendations and merchandising. They all depend on what the catalog says about each product.
That is the gap CommerceClarity and FactFinder are addressing together.
FactFinder powers discovery. CommerceClarity improves the catalog behind it
FactFinder provides the discovery layer: search and navigation, personalization, recommendations, merchandising and the ranking that determines which products shoppers see first.
CommerceClarity works on the catalog underneath it: the product data that any discovery platform reads. It fills missing attributes, reconciles values that mean the same thing, and makes product information consistent across languages, markets and brands.
A PIM stores the information that has been entered into it. CommerceClarity helps determine what information should be there in the first place: specifications extracted from supplier data, attributes recovered when suppliers have not provided them, and values standardized across large catalogs and different markets.
That creates a more complete and consistent data layer for discovery and, increasingly, for AI shopping agents that rely on the same product attributes to make their choices.
FactFinder is part of CommerceClarity’s partner program for discovery platforms, which is open to other platforms that want to give their customers a more complete catalog.
What changes for the retailer?
Nothing in the existing stack.
Retailers keep their discovery platform and their PIM. FactFinder connects through APIs, platform connectors and ready-made front-end components. CommerceClarity reads product data where it already exists, in the PIM, ERP or product feed, and writes the enriched data back through the existing setup.
There is no migration and no replatforming.
Both companies also bring their own specialists into the process. FactFinder’s Discovery Practice helps configure discovery around the retailer’s catalog, working alongside the retailer’s team or agency. CommerceClarity’s Retail Engineers take the catalog work into production, category by category.
Quotes
“When a product doesn’t show up in search, retailers usually look at the search engine. In most cases we find the problem one step earlier: the attribute was never in the catalog, or it was wrong. FactFinder customers can now fix that at the source and see the result in search, navigation and recommendations. For us this is one part of a bigger change: AI agents now do the catalog work that teams used to do by hand, category by category, in every market, and the people who own the catalog get their time back for the decisions that need them.”
“Having built enrichment technology ourselves, we at FactFinder know that generating more product information is only part of the challenge. What matters is what a retailer actually needs, how quality is controlled and where that information creates value. Those needs extend beyond search—to product pages, marketplaces, different languages and sales channels. That breadth is what makes CommerceClarity a compelling partner. They address the underlying product-data challenge, while FactFinder brings the expertise to determine how richer information should be used in search and discovery. These are complementary disciplines: enrichment should be purposeful, and not every additional attribute belongs in the search experience. Connecting an Italian innovator with FactFinder’s roots in DACH and wider European presence, our ambition is to help retailers turn fragmented product information into a strategic asset—making it easier to expand into new markets, scale their assortments and serve customers across Europe.”
